The Ecosystem:

A glass dome lies forty-five feet above the Ecosystem, allowing natural sunlight to stream through, reaching the plant and animal life below in habitats representing Asia, Africa, South America and Australia. In the Ecosystem the visitor is immersed in a highly sensory experience! Following the boardwalk through the various habitats one can feel the mist and humidity of the Rainforest; listen for waterfalls and Cotton-Top Tamarin vocalizations; smell the newly-opened orchids residing along the Strangler Fig Tree, and keep any eye out for the Prevostís Squirrel and Short-Nosed Echidna!

From the upper-level Mezzanine, the visitor is able to gaze eye-to-eye with Koalas browsing in nearby trees, observe the Strangler Fig Tree up close, and look out upon the various habitats to search out plants, such as the Giant Bird-of-Paradise and Banana, currently in bloom.
